Hi guys. Just came back from outfield in the jungle. Damn i missed the PC Show because of this outfield. Those riflemans were having their usual wargames, fighting againts each other. Me too as a storeman having a war in the jungle, with the mosquitoes.

I had my own website with my own domain name up and running! It is still in it's early stage. More work still needs to done. Please visit my website and comment on it. Hi guys! Long time no see. It's been a long long time since the last time i updated the blog. I had been very busy with my army life and i had to deal with tons of personal problems. I must say that i am having a really bad time out there. I am still up and running, going through life as usual, at the same time pretending that nothing had happened.

Something big is coming up and i am very happy about it. I will be a one year soldier this coming Wednesday, 7th December 2005. One more year and i will be through. I still remember the day i received my "green love letter" from mindef around this time last year. And i can still recall my very first day as a soldier. It was one of the most dark and gloomy days in my life ever. Looking forward to this time next year, i will be the happiest man on earth, probably.

Home!

Hi guys! If you guys are wondering what this photo is all about, well it is a picture of my neighbourhood taken from the satellite. Cool huh? I used google Earth software to generate this photo. This software is so cool. Although the software is in its early stages, but i find it extremely stable. You guys should try them out.

This past few weeks had been a hell for me and my platoon. We are involved in the NDP carnival at Marina South. I had been assigned to pack ration for the people who are invloved in the carnival. I had to pack about 600 packs of ration each time. It not that tough but it is very tiring. We will send the ration using our army truck (5 tonner). Before we leave Marina to go back camp, we had to clear the rubbish left by the public. I can say it is a very tough job. At the carnival , i met with some of my old friends. Most of them are just like me, a NSF with the army, CD or Police. Some of them signed on to be a full time Police officers. Well good luck guys! If you guys notice that i didn't update my blog for a very long time. The main reason is that i have very limited time at home(in front of the computer) due to my NS commitments. That's all for now. Past two weeks...

Hi guys! How are you guys doing? For the past two weeks, it had been a very good time for me. I had been posted to Sembawang camp to attend the signal storeman course. This past two weeks had been the best time for me so far in my national service life. Why? The main reason is Sembawang camp is only about 1km away from my house. And the best part is that i get to stay out every night! Can you imagine that feeling, it heavenly! The course was very informative and i learned alot of new stuffs. Unfortunately, i might not have the chance to apply those knowledge and skills because i was never a signal storeman. Ironic isn't it? I wonder why my superiors put me to take charge of the CCE store. Anyway, i managed to get an 'A' grade! I managed to score 88.8 marks out of a hundred. Nice number isn't it? I wished i could stay longer, but i had to go back where i was meant to be and carry out my duties as usual. I guess the good time had ended. It might be a short period of time, but i enjoyed every second of it. Tonight i will book-in to my camp. That's all for now my friends. Take care and smile always! See ya!

Hi guys! Been very very busy this past few weeks with endless paperworks, optics inspections, etc etc. Life's tough in army. Every little thing is accounted for, anything missing will get you into big trouble. Life is getting monotonous for me, everyday doing the same thing again and again, wearing the same green uniform everyday, eating the same kind of food, getting the same old pathetic allowance. Can't wait for probably the happiest monent of my life, my ORD. That's going to be like one and half years to go. I am looking forward to end this misery. For now, what i can do is to save as much as possible and carry on with life as usual. I will carry out my duty well, watch my words and be good to my buddies and commanders. Hopefully in return i will have peace. That's all guys. Thanks for reading my humble blog. Take care and see you again.

A new beginning

Hi guys! On Thursday this week, i officially took over the "CCE" store from my former store I/C. It was a big occasion for me and i will remember this day for a very long time. I will be running the store alone for the meantime, before the next batch of storeman to come. I know that it wouldn't be easy to run the store, but the only thing that overcome hard luck is hard work. I feel that it is too early for me to become a store I/C, since i had been in the unit for barely two months. I hope that everything will go well. I would like to take this opportunity to wish my former I/C a very best of luck for your future endeavours. The week after next will be the passing out parade ceremony for the battalion. They had completed their four months "BMT" and will go through the "AIT" (ADVANCED INFANTRY TRAINING) after a week of block leave. That means i will have a week of block leave too! Yippe!! Looking forward for the one week break. At the same time, i might be taking another Microsoft exam during that period. I'm currently preparing for the exam during my free time and evenings in camp. Heck, it's damn hard to understand the exam objectives. Perhaps NS had my brains "freezed". And lastly, i would like to wish Haidar and Muhsin who will be enlisting to the army for NS this 10th and 9th June respectively the very best. Don't worry, BMT isn't that bad as you thought. Avoid listening to tekong ghost stories or negetive comments about the army. Most of them are either no more relevant or just plain lies to scare you. That's all for now. Hi guys! Well, here i go again. Nothing much happened for the past two weeks. This week the batallion went to Pulau Tekong for their "field camp", so my QM aka boss gave us nights out on tuesday to friday! Yippe! Next week will be a new chapter in my army life. I will take over the "CCE store" from my upper study who will ORD soon. How lucky he is. I feel excited, but at the same time i felt afraid and uncertain. I hope that everything will be ok. Wish me luck guys! I bought my new PC today. It is up and running right now. I'm very happy with and enjoying every second using it. It cost me $767 to build it. I shall use it along with my old pc to practice my networking stuff. Too bad i had to stay in camp during the weekdays. Sigh.. cannot use it everyday. The config of the new pc is as follow: Athlon 64 3000+, MSI RS480M2-IL mainboard, 1GB DDR RAM, 80GB HDD, DVD-ROM and a new cheapo casing. As for the monitor, i use my old monitor. I need an opinion

Hi guys! I need an opinion from you guys. I am thinking of getting a driving license. As you all know, it is not cheap to get one. So now i am in a dilemma. If i get a license, i might use it as a source of income in the future. On the other hand, paying for the fees will be taxing on me, as you know NS allowance for a private is very little. On top of that, i might not pass the license on the first try, thus additional money will be needed for repeat of the test. So guys please give me your opinions, should i get my license now and try and save as much as possible, or wait until i ord and get a job then get the license or get a motorcycle license instead. Please help. Thanks alot!

A new weekend job

Hi guys! It's been two weeks ago since i last update the blog. Well, i was kinda busy for the past two weekends. I had to do guard duty last week. Very tiring. Anyway, i am happy to get a new weekend job. I managed to earn a small amount of money yesterday and today and i am very happy about it. It's glad to know that i can occupy my weekend working. At least i can make some extra income on top of my monthly allowance. I plan to save up as much as possible for the "rainy days" ahead. I will try very hard to minimise my expenses and refrain myself from spending unneccesarily. Well that's it guys. I will have to book in again. hi guys! well, nothing much to do this week. super slack on mon and wed but very busy on thursday and friday. both of my seniors went to take mc, so i had to cover their duties. quite tiring man. i had to work ot today, start from 1pm to about 10pm. hopefully the weapon presentation event will end very fast, so that i can go earlier. thanks guys for dropping by my humble blog. looking forward to upgrade my pc to a amd64 based cpu. abit more to safe then can go upgrade. shiok ah.

Not bad huh. But i prefer to be able to go home everyday. It's ok. I have about 616 days more to ORD, 7 DECEMBER 2006. I'm looking forward for that day.

Just came back from Sengkang MRT to collect the book i bought through yahoo auctions. During the journey home, i recalled the days where i was a recruit. Everything was strict and regimental. We paid our commanders due respect formally. Unlike now in my new unit, everything was on the opposite way. I can call my commanders by name. What a wacky world...

Hi guys! Today, i received one of the biggest trial in my life. I have to stay in camp for the rest of my NS life. I feel terrible after receiving the news from my new Regimental Quater Master Sergent. I thought that after my 4 moths BMT, i will be allowed to book out everyday (8am-6pm job). It's ok. I believe that there will always be a good cause behind anything bad that happens to me. It's a matter of time now before i will get used to the new working environemt. What i can do and should do now is to do my best for my new vocation so that i can achieve the highest rank i can get... Corporal!!! Well that's all guys. See Ya! Take care.

Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by. Well, i will start a new chapter in my NS life tomorrow. I will be posted as a storeman at Amoy Quee camp. For those of you who wondered where this camp is, it is located at Ang Mo Kio St 66. I hope that i will get new good friends and commanders. I had a good time and experience at Pulau Tekong. I will really miss those good times. Anyway, life must go on. From what i heard from those who served NS before me, a storeman's job is very slack. I hope it is true, so that i can do my own self study during those free times. I was kinda dissapointed with my vocation, because i will never be a 3SG, a rank i always wanted. It's ok. I might not be a sergeant in SAF, but i will somehow still be a leader in the future. I believe that everything that happens, there will always be a good cause behind it. I am aiming to complete my MCSE 2003 track, CCNA and perhaps CCNP if time permits during my NS days. This is to prepare myself for the real actual working life. That's it guys. See ya!
